Amsterdam Schiphol Airport connects the city of Amsterdam to all major urban centres in the world, and Amsterdam Central railway station links it to all major European cities. The Spotlight Seminar is taking place at RAI Amsterdam, Europaplein, 1078 GZ, Amsterdam. Please go to the Forum Centre, Entrance E.
Travel to Amsterdam
The Amsterdam Schiphol Airport connects Amsterdam to major world cities. Further information on traveling to this airport can be found on their website.
Amsterdam also has railway connections with many European destinations. The Amsterdam Central Station is Amsterdam’s main train station and is located right in the centre of Amsterdam. For international and national train schedules and travel times, please visit their website. From the station you can take tram 14 (direction Station RAI) for €2.90 and get off at the Amsterdam RAI stop. Once you leave the station, follow the signs for RAI Amsterdam. Alternatively, you can take a TCA Taxi for approximately €25.
Travel from the airport to the venue
Amsterdam Travel Card
The city of Amsterdam recently introduced the Amsterdam Travel Ticket, which includes unlimited travel within Amsterdam and from/to the airport. For more information see the website of the local transportation authority.
From Amsterdam Schiphol you can take the train (direction Utrecht Centraal or Hilversum) to Amsterdam RAI (10 minutes). The train ticket will cost you €3.00. Once you leave the station, follow the signs for RAI Amsterdam.
Several taxi services operate from the airport. Make sure to travel with a regulated one. The average fare for a private taxi is €40 and €23 for combined transportation, which will take 15-20 minutes.
Road signs for RAI Amsterdam are visible upon approaching Amsterdam from the A1 motorway (Amersfoort/Amsterdam), the A2 (Utrecht/Amsterdam) or the A4 (Den Haag [The Hague]/Amsterdam).The RAI can be easily reached using exit 9. After exiting the motorway, please follow signs towards RAI car parks. At the RAI there is a fixed parking rate of €17.50 per 24 hours.
