Nurturing strategic international partnerships and alliances

Join us in person on 15 and 16 May for a course that will guide you toward a new way of thinking about strategic partnerships and alliances.

About this course

Led by trainers Anna Stina Sinisalo and Shane Lordan, the EAIE Academy course "Nurturing strategic international partnerships and alliances" will guide you toward a new way of thinking about strategic partnerships and alliances. This two-day course on 15–16 May comprises eight modules with social breaks for making connections including a networking drink at The Social Hub Amsterdam City, where the course will take place.

Not all strategic partnerships are created equal; nowadays, they come in many forms: bilateral or multilateral partnerships, strategic networks or alliances, or priority partnerships focusing on supporting a specific goal of the higher education institution. Establishing, managing and evaluating such partnerships requires a significant investment of time and resources – so it’s worth doing it right.

This comprehensive and interactive in-person course will guide you toward a new way of thinking about strategic partnerships and alliances. EAIE trainers Anna Stina Sinisalo and Shane Lordan will offer structured guidance on these valuable partnerships - from planning to implementation to evaluation. Join us in person for a two days course at The Social Hub in Amsterdam and develop a roadmap for successfully establishing or continuing strategic international partnerships at your institution.

What you’ll learn

This course will help you develop an understanding of the nature of strategic international partnerships and their role in the context of an institution’s overall partnership portfolio, including how to plan and implement them successfully. The course will also address issues such as allocating resources, setting policies and evaluating outcomes.

  • Gain insight into the challenges of strategic partnerships and alliances, and how to overcome them
  • Learn how other institutions manage strategic partnerships and alliances
