I am a doctoral candidate in International and Comparative Education at Memorial University of Newfoundland, Canada. Informed by decolonial, justice-oriented, migrant queer and interconnected ontoepistemologies, my academic work focuses on reimagining higher education and the internationalisation of higher education from equity-driven, inclusive perspectives. Methodologically, I utilise decolonising, creative, and contemplative qualitative research approaches.
With over 10 years of experience in the field of international education, I am passionate about advancing equity, diversity, inclusion and decolonisation (EDID) initiatives and strategies in higher education. My core competencies involve supporting individual and institutional capacity in confronting human wrongs without shying away or camouflaging them. Currently, I am working as an Advisor, Immigration and Inclusion, at Memorial University, where I lead the EDID initiatives of the Internationalisation Office and collaborate with various campus partners to foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for the university community. I have also developed a graduate-level course on equity, diversity, inclusion and decolonisation in the educational context at the Faculty of Education at Memorial University.
I serve as an Assistant Editor of the Critical Internationalization Studies Review, coordinator of the ECR network of Research with International Students (RIS), and Chair of the Racialized Graduate Students Collective at Memorial University.
