Ana Castro Paiva has a background in Communication, International Relations and Education. She has lived in 5 different countries; she was an Erasmus student in Spain and in Italy, did traineeships at the World Bank (US) and the European Commission (Belgium). At UPorto IRO she managed Erasmus Mundus Action 2 Projects and is now an ICM Erasmus+ Projects Manager and a PhD student. She has been increasingly interested in sustainability in Erasmus+. In 2022 she presented an ignite session at EAIE Barcelona titled "How to Carbon Hack Erasmus +?". In the past years she has conducted multiple presentations for staff training weeks about sustainability best practices in Erasmus + projects.
