Bernhard Streitwieser (PhD, Columbia University) is Associate Professor of International Education and UNESCO co-Chair in International Education for Development, George Washington University. His research studies the access and integration of refugees and migrants in higher education; internationalisation of higher education and global competition; and student exchange and study abroad. Dr. Streitwieser’s most recent books are Higher Education in the Era of Migration, Displacement and Internationalization (Routledge), and Accessing Quality Education: Local and Global Perspectives from Refugees (Lexington Books).
