Partha Chatterjee is the Dean of Academics at Shiv Nadar University, Delhi NCR and a Professor of Economics. He has a keen interest in issues related to higher education, particularly in India, both intellectually and as a practitioner. As the inaugural Head of the Department of Economics at Shiv Nadar University, he has built up a stellar department. He was also the first Dean for International Partnerships at the university. He created the office of international partnerships and shaped the strategy for global engagement for the university. In a short period, coinciding with disruptions caused by Covid, he forged several research partnerships across the globe and increased opportunities for student mobility, including a rather unique internship exchange. He has also conceived and started the Beyond Boundaries series, a platform to engage with leading scholars and academic leaders across the world.
