Stuart Billingham is an editor of the International Journal Widening Participation and Lifelong Learning. Until July this year he was also Chair of the government-funded Uni Connect Programme Inspiring Choices delivering wider successful participation in higher education in York and North Yorkshire. He worked for 45 years in various roles and levels across a range of higher education institutions — including the pioneering Racial Equality Unity — until retiring from full-time employment in 2010.
