En route to Toulouse and beyond: Élisabeth Moreno

The countdown to the EAIE 2024 Conference and Exhibition in Toulouse has begun! Between 17 – 20 September 2024, many topics within the world of international higher education will be discussed during sessions, networking events, informal gatherings, and the opening and closing plenaries. As we look toward this exciting gathering, EAIE podcast host Laura Rumbley had the pleasure of interviewing one of our esteemed plenary speakers for this year, Élisabeth Moreno. Élisabeth Moreno is a politician, philanthropist and businesswoman, and a former French Minister in charge of Gender Equality, Diversity and Equal Opportunities from 2020 to 2022. 

In this short conversation, a wide range of topics are addressed, such as working through differences, key lessons linked to effective leadership, women’s rights and empowerment, and how to maintain motivation. About Élisabeth Moreno

Élisabeth Moreno is a politician, philanthropist and businesswoman. She is a former French Minister in charge of Gender Equality, Diversity and Equal Opportunities from 2020 to 2022. Currently, she serves as Chairwoman of Ring Capital, where she empowers impact entrepreneurs and provides them with resources to thrive. She is also President of Ring Africa, where she actively contributes to shaping the entrepreneurial landscape within the continent of Africa.

Her expertise has led her to key positions in enterprises across four continents and to become a consular judge and Vice President of Hewlett Packard, overseeing operations in Africa.  In addition to these roles, Elisabeth is also passionate about Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), and through her foundation, LEIA Partners, she supports organisations in developing their CSR strategies.  Beyond her professional endeavours, Elisabeth is deeply engaged in philanthropic activities, most notably as the President of the Femmes@Numerique Foundation, where she strives to drive progress and empowerment for women in the digital sphere.
