How do today's economic realities impact internationalisation? The EAIE Barometer: Internationalisation in Europe (second edition) – Money matters, published in 2019, breaks down the divergent roles of funding as both a driver of and barrier to internationalisation.

The EAIE Barometer: Internationalisation in Europe (second edition) – Signposts of success analyses the commonalities between higher education institutions where practitioners are most positive about the current and future status of internationalisation. Drawing on the survey responses of 2317 practitioners at 1292 HEIs spread across 45 countries in the European Higher Education Area, this report looks at nine factors that may serve as signposts on the road to successful internationalisation.

The EAIE Barometer: Internationalisation in Europe (second edition) maps the form and function of internationalisation of higher education in the European Higher Education Area, as viewed by practitioners working on the process at higher education institutions in Europe. Building on the knowledge gained from the first EAIE Barometer study conducted in spring 2014, this second edition addresses themes covered in the first study as well as several new and contemporary themes in internationalisation, in order to reflect on and better understand the field of international higher education.
