Culture shock and war trauma can influence the language acquisition and adaptation of refugees in a new linguistic environment. Refugees may experience more severe culture shock due to their forced move to another country. This session will explore the difficulties they face in new language acquisition and the need to develop recommendations for adaptation of refugees to the new environment and multilingual society.
