Global Connect, an initiative at the Central University of Technology, Free State, in South Africa, provides an alternative mode of internationalisation to overcome the limitations of student mobility programmes. Our students work collaboratively with peers from different countries and cultures to address international business challenges virtually. This poster shows how we are helping students to foster graduate attributes and develop employability skills without leaving the university.
Sekoele Ramajoe is the Manager of International Student Recruitment, Communications, and Internationalisation at Home (I@H) at the Central University of Technology, Free State (CUT). With over five years of experience in international higher education, Sekoele is responsible for the recruitment of both full-time and short-term international students at CUT. He oversees the marketing and communication of CUT’s academic offerings to a global audience, ensuring that the university's programs are effectively promoted internationally.
In addition to his recruitment and communication roles, Sekoele successfully leads I@H projects aimed at enhancing the international and intercultural competencies of both mobile and non-mobile CUT students. Through these initiatives, he fosters the development of global student attributes and ensures that the entire CUT community benefits from the growing I@H initiatives.
